Recent years have seen the largest religious exodus since Exodus. Men are abandoning the Christian faith as the Church fails to meet their needs. An estimated 70 million men in the U.S. alone claim to be Christian but do not attend church.

Studies have shown that adult church attendance today averages 61% women. Some congregations report a gender gap as high as 90% women. Compare this to sixty years ago when the ratio of men to women mirrored the national population (roughly 49.5% men – 50.5% women). Furthermore, when looking at the attendance of young men, the gap becomes even wider. Between the ages of 18-28 the ratio of women to men sometimes reaches as high as 7-1.
