Life as I know it has never been like I pictured it…
If that was the case I would be 6’3″ with wavy brown hair and play for a “winning” Dallas Cowboys team…but no such luck. I am not 6’3″, I shave my head and well…we all know about the Cowboys.
You just never know about life…and I have grown to accept that, maybe even embrace it.
Who would’ve thought I would be called to ministry…YOU NEVER KNOW
Who would’ve thought that I would lead worship (sing) and play guitar…YOU NEVER KNOW
Who would’ve thought that I would find my wife who is 5 years younger and grew up half a country away at bible College…YOU NEVR KNOW
Who would’ve thought that my life would be wrecked in a small town in Oklahoma…YOU NEVER KNOW
Who would’ve thought that in a place of safety in comfort that a storm of passion for the city of Austin would arise…YOU NEVER KNOW
Who would’ve thought when talking to friends about your passion for a city and the desire to plant a church, that it would resonate within them…YOU NEVER KNOW
Who would’ve thought that I would be right here right now…GOD KNEW
And that’s all that matters.
Stalwart walks in step with God; his path blazed by God, he’s happy. If he stumbles, he’s not down for long; God has a grip on his hand. – Psalm 37: 23-24
